From Python code to reusable services
Alien6 announces OuterSpace Apizr 0.4.4, an open-source Python capability compiler. Packages were published on PyPI on October 4, 2026; the complete GitHub release followed on October 5 after independent installation checks. The core and official OCI, MCP and Attest plugins are available at the same version.
Apizr identifies existing functions, analyzes their contracts and lets operators explicitly select which capabilities to expose through REST or MCP interfaces. It extends the project’s historical notebook and script to API workflow for Python developers, data teams and teams integrating AI systems.
What version 0.4.4 adds
Version 0.4.4 exports and verifies existing capability or bundle descriptions and JSON evidence without importing business code. Deployment tools can examine a service description before execution. An optional check connects that evidence to the build provenance of an existing OCI image.
JSON Schemas describe delivery results for consumption in other languages. The release also improves checks before first publication to a container destination, including authenticated registry workflows. Existing v1 contracts and stored results remain compatible.
A modular path from analysis to delivery
The Apizr core handles analysis and generation. Optional plugins add separate capabilities: MCP integration, OCI image construction and delivery, and evidence signing and verification with Continuum Attest. Plugin installation and activation are explicit.
Teams can integrate service descriptions and delivery results into their own platforms. Trunx, a private package and container registry, uses Apizr 0.4.4 to publish REST and MCP services within its deployment approval workflow.
Deployment decisions remain with the operator
Static analysis and evidence export do not execute business code. Generated services execute selected functions under operator-chosen conditions. Technical evidence verification does not replace organizational approvals or runtime access controls.
Apizr remains an independent Python tool. The integrating platform owns service admission decisions. Documentation describes execution boundaries and the evidence required to check the connection between a service description and its image.
Availability and project history
Apizr 0.4.4 is distributed under GPL-3.0-or-later and supports Python 3.11 through 3.14. Source code, packages, release notes and verification records are public. Installation is documented for PyPI and the Alien6 Homebrew tap on Apple Silicon.
The project has been distributed on PyPI since August 2023. This announcement concerns version 0.4.4 and its integration with software delivery workflows, rather than Apizr’s first open-source publication.
